One year ago today after more than two years of waiting we got the CALL! I will never in my life forget that day, it was a Monday and the kids had the day off of school. We decided that since they were home from school we would go and get out shots for the trip to China. We all got up early and headed to the nearest health department that could do the shots we needs, it happened to be an hour away (the kids were thrilled to get up at 6:30 on a non school day). After waiting for HOURS we were finally done around noon and headed out to lunch. We got home around two o'clock and I immediately checked my e-mail and there was the e-mail we had been waiting years for "The Stork is on it way to Great Wall will referrals for the 10-26-05 LID". Then about a half hour later I got another e-mail " The Stork has landed at Great Wall" the email said that they received our referral. Wow today was the day we would finally get to see her face. I can remember the next hour being torture waiting for the phone to ring and at 3:17 pm it rang and the voice on the other end said Mrs. McCall this is Kimber from Great Wall I am calling to let you know ITS A GIRL! KImber was so nice and gave us all the info she had readily available during the call and then we had to wait for the e-mail with her picture. After waiting more than two years you would think another hour wouldnt kill ya, well it can be agonizing. When i finaly got the e-mail and open her picture it was love at first sight this little girl who had grown in my heart for all of this time finally had a face and it was beautiful.

THEY TOLD US SHE COULD WALK WITH HELP, LIKES TO SCRIBBLE, COPIES WORDS SHE HEARS, KNOWS WHAT NO MEANS, ALWAYS SMILES, LIKES BOOKS AND MUSIC AND SHE WAS CLOSE TO HER CARETAKER
